President Dalia Grybauskaitė

Message of congratulations to Fra’ Giacomo Dalla Torre del Tempio di Sanguinetto, Grand Master of the Sovereign Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint John of Jerusalem, of Rhodes and of Malta on the Feast of St. John the Baptist

Your Most Eminent Highness,

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the Feast of St. John the Baptist. I wish you and the Maltese Order members strong health, continued success, and unity.

The devoted work of the Order of Malta and the great contribution by the Order and its supporters is highly important and valued. Turning to the weakest, most vulnerable, disadvantaged or deprived members of our society and taking care of them is very much needed. The support provided by the Order does not only mean assistance to those people but also promotes very important values of mutual understanding, compassion, solidarity and volunteering in societies, especially among young people.

I sincerely wish that the Order would always have friends and supporters in Lithuania and Europe, and in all parts of the world, where it operates, aims to help and carries out a broad social and humanitarian mission. May I wish you a never-ending belief in your calling, as well as inspiration and energy in continuing your meaningful activity.

Please accept, Your Most Eminent Highness, my best wishes and the assurances of my highest consideration.

Dalia Grybauskaitė, President of the Republic of Lithuania
