Wednesday, May 25, Vilnius – President Dalia Grybauskaitė extended congratulations, both personally and on behalf of the Lithuanian people, to President Mauricio Macri of the Argentine Republic on national holiday, May Revolution Day.
This year marks the twenty fifth anniversary of the reestablishment of diplomatic relations between Lithuania and Argentina. According to the President, ties between the two nations and their citizens are increasingly growing – not least through the efforts of the large Lithuanian community in Argentina.
“I strongly hope that political and economic cooperation between Lithuania and Argentina will continue to develop steadily and consistently. I also believe that cooperation within international organizations will further contribute to our knowledge of both cultures and the security and welfare of our citizens,” the President wrote in her message of congratulations.
Dalia Grybauskaitė wished Mauricio Macri continued success as he works for the benefit of the people of his country, as well as prosperity and well-being to all Argentinians.
