The President received letters of credence from Korean ambassador


Friday, December 7, Vilnius - President Dalia Grybauskaitė accepted letters of credence from Ambassador Paek Young-Sun of the Republic of Korea.

Korea is one of the world's largest investors. According to the President, Lithuania can be an attractive country to Korean investors, particularly in sectors such as financial and business services, electronic equipment manufacturing, and information technologies.

Lithuania and Korea also cooperate on nuclear security issues. Lithuania's President was among the participants of the Nuclear Security Summit held in Korea in March. The President expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries would continue.

The diplomat (60) in the course of his career served at Korea's Embassies in Italy, Japan, Sri Lanka, and was ambassador at Korean representations in the United Arab Emirates and Poland.
