The President received letters of credence from Panama’s ambassador


Monday, March 5, Vilnius  President Dalia Grybauskaitė received letters of credence from the Ambassador of the Republic of Panama, Enrique Antonio Zarak Linares.

The President and the newly appointed Ambassador discussed bilateral cooperation, economic ties and dialogue at the level of relations with the European Union. Special focus was placed on cultural contacts. The President invited students from Panama to study in Lithuania.

Enrique Antonio Zarak Linares is Panama’s third ambassador to Lithuania. Earlier he worked in the private sector and served as ambassador to South Korea from 1990 to 1994. The Ambassador resides in Warsaw. He is also accredited to Poland, Latvia, Estonia, Ukraine, Georgia, and Moldova.
