The President received letters of credence from the Ambassador of Luxembourg


Wednesday, 14 December, Vilnius  President Dalia Grybauskaitė received letters of credence from Ambassador Conrad A. Bruch of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.

The President and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations between Lithuania and Luxembourg, topical issues related to the EU and international organizations as well as regional security issues. At the meeting, Dalia Grybauskaitė reiterated her invitation to the Grand Duke of Luxembourg to visit Lithuania.

The President underscored that Lithuania values exceptional, long-term contribution of Luxembourg to Lithuanian security and expressed gratitude for sending their troops to join a German-led international NATO battalion in Lithuania.

The President and the Ambassador also discussed economic relations that demonstrate promising trends. According to the President, the Grand Duke’s visit to Lithuania would be an impetus to economic cooperation between the two countries.

Conrad A. Bruch has been appointed Ambassador to Lithuania for already the second time. The diplomat has been serving at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg since 1993.  Conrad A. Bruch served as Ambassador to Greece from 2005, Ambassador to Poland in 2010-2013 and again from 2016. The diplomat resides in Warsaw.
